I have a Auto Xray Codescout that will not read any codes from my 1995 S10 2.2L The truck has the 16 pin connector but the scanner just reads "disconnected". The scanner works fine on a 1997 Saturn. What am I doing wrong?

A 1995 S-10 is not fully OBDII compliant. That being said, check the cigarette lighter fuse. It also supplies power for the OBD plug.

That's a good reason LOL! I did check the cig lighter and it works. Is there another way to pull codes? The CEL comes on intermittenly while driving.

Take it to AutoZone and see what they get.

If this is still unresolved you can try the following,Ground pin C (top row third pin from right) on your connector. This will flash your code on your “check engine light”. It will start with a 12. (one flash then two) then the problem code. Follow the OBI-1 Codes, good luck.
