Hi I’m new here.
I would like creating some software as my bachelor work that will communicate true OBD-II protocol. For start it should communicate with Hyundai i30 CRDI85KW r2008.

1. is it possible, is the communication protocol accessible for developers? Where can I found the specifications for the protocols?

2. is there some connector OBDII <-> USB or OBDII<->(other connector for PC)

there are many OBD2 to USB connectors on the market. Search on Ebay and you'll see they are pretty cheap.

I am also looking for information on the protocol and how to send/receive over an OBD2 connector for a consumer product I am developing. Any help or links would be appreciated.
