Hi, I have Toyata Carola 98, 75000 mile. My car has engine check light. I have checked the OBDII code is 441, Which says it "EVAP system purge flow problem". I have tried to replace the new Gas Cap. But the problem is not gone. Can any one provide list of things I should check with mechanics, Next thing I am trying is to check for Vaccum Leak. I am on right direction? Now my car doesn't start well. It makes tick sound during 1 or 2 times. Than starts ok. I don't because of Cold Whether / Battery / Carbon accumalated in engine by 441 problem. Thank you for your time. IP: Logged |

A clicking starter would most likely be a bad solenoid. Check all plumbing for evap system to address the P0441 code. IP: Logged |

Hi, Can I able to replace solenoid valve & give a try? Do I need to do go to mechanic to check evap pumping? Thanks, IP: Logged |

First off if you don't know what your doing don't do it. The starter solinoid is on the starter and is replaced by buying a new starter but check battery first. Could be a dead cell in the battery. Second yes a mechanic needs to check the EVAP plumming. And no vaccum leak has nothing to do with it. The code is set when the vaccum in the tank does not drop when canister purge is requested.
